Bath Salts
As seen on the Sonoran Living program.

Making bath salts is such a fun and satisfying experience. And what a great gift! Kids love to make bath salts and they make great gifts for their teachers, baby sitters, aunts and grandmothers. Keep your eye out for inexpensive bottles to use and put a cute label on it with the directions for using.

This bath salt is a nice blend of salts and baking soda with essential oils. You may use flower petals if you wish, but remember that they will be free-floating in the tub and will have to be thrown away when the tub is emptied. You may put your bath salt with flower petals in a tea ball if you do not want to worry about the floating petals. I think that the petals are pretty, and add a sensual touch. Use only a few petals and the clean up will not be too difficult, or skip them entirely. The aroma of the oils are quite blissful alone!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Epsom Salt
3/4 cup Sea Salt, fine
1/4 cup Baking Soda
2 Tbl. Sea Salt, coarse (optional)
20–30 drops
as desired
Essential Oils
Petals/whole herbs (optional) - not too many!
2-3 Tbl. Glycerin (optional)
1-2 Tbl. Natural Coloring (optional)*

* Natural coloring is a little bit hard to find, but well worth it. Personally, I do not like to use artificial coloring. Call local soap-making suppliers and see if they have natural coloring for body care products.

Method:
Mix all ingredients well. Put in a container with a tight fitting lid. Label!

To Use: One recipe is enough for 3-6 baths, depending on size of tub. Draw a warm bath, putting ¼ - ½ cup of mixture in tub when it is almost full. Swish around when getting in. Relax and enjoy for at least 15 minutes. Dry off and moisturize (with your favorite herbal oil, of course).

Blends from the show:
Queen’s Bath
8 drops Ylang Ylang
 each Neroli 5% in Jojoba
  Rose 5% in Jojoba
  Jasmine 5% in Jojoba
Blend with Rose petals.

Breathe and Relax Bath
15 drops Eucalyptus
 each Lavender
Blend with Lavender flowers and eucalyptus leaves.

Enjoy!
