Mommy’s Chest and Neck Rub
As seen on the Sonoran Living program.

Just when you feel that sore throat start, or that heaviness in the chest creep in, QUICK! make up a batch of this warming vaporous rubbing oil. It will no only sooth, it will also help fight those bugs off with the potent power of essential oils.

Smooth this rub on your lymph nodes throughout your neck area and underneath your chin, then rub the oil on your chest and back as well. Put a cotton t-shirt on and stay warm. Cuddle up with a warm cup of tea and let Mother Nature take care of you..

Ingredients: yield: 2 oz (shy)

1 ¾ oz almond oil (or a good quality olive oil)
2 oz glass bottle with lid
Essential Oils – a total of 80 – 90 drops in total(*)
10 drops Lavendar
10 drops Thyme
15 drops Hyssop
15 drops Peppermint
15 drops Pine
25 drops Eucalyptus

(other good choices to use in place of any of these would be rosemary, sage, ginger or geranium)

(*) NOTE: If using this on children, you might want to dilute it by 1/3 - 1/2.

Method:
Carefully pour almond oil into a 2 oz glass bottle (use glass, not plastic). Add essential oil drops. Close lid and shake well. Label and date bottle. Use for the season. Store in a dark cool cabinet.

Use several times throughout the day. This rub is a nice companion to the Sore Throat Spray (see other recipe).
